Passionate
Passionates are exactly what they sound like. Expressive, dramatic, a little temperamental and kind of fabulous. They’re emotionally honest, very creative and tend to get personal straight up.
A Passionate will meet a stranger at a bar and within 5 minutes, both of them will be sobbing while swapping love stories. Passionates are dreamers and find the mundanity of life to be utterly repugnant. Bills and responsibilities bore Passionates who’d much rather spend their days swanning around with martinis and spending hot afternoons in bed with their lovers.
They are very inspirational (and inspired!) with a high energy drive. They thrive on chaos and drama and get their energy from heightened emotions. Individuals to the core, Passionates want to be surrounded by beauty at all costs. Their worst nightmare is for someone to think they’re just like everyone else.

They are fantastic lovers - no one ever forgets a relationship with a Passionate. They’re extremely memorable. If you bring a passionate to a party, your friends will talk about it.
With a surprising ability to be honest with themselves, Passionates are very self aware and tend to own all of their feelings. The most self reflective of the archetypes, they can look at their own behaviours and analyse them quite honestly without changing the dialogue to suit themselves. Even if they don’t like what they discover they won’t try to hide their worst traits. What they see in the mirror is very accurate.
Passionates are sharers and won’t shy away from revealing highly personal and sometimes embarrassing things about themselves as they’re relentless truth seekers. They yearn to understand themselves on a deeper level and aren’t afraid to broadcast this process.
They’re also able to endure suffering with a quiet strength. They’re not complainers and being in touch with their darker side gives them a truth and peace that other archetypes lack. A Passionate has no secrets. From themselves or anyone else.
But...
the bad news is
Passionates can be melancholy and can get caught up in the thrill of their own misery. It can reach frustrating levels of self-indulgence and self-pity.
They often feel misunderstood because they view themselves as special, unique creatures that no one could possibly understand. Passionates work on the assumption that because they’re so unique and mysterious no one will ever love them or understand them adequately.
While seeing themselves as unique and talented, Passionates also see themselves as flawed with issues and problems that no one else has.
Passionates are constantly reinventing themselves and revealing new personalities. They’ll often see a quality or style they admire and then apply to their own person. It’s a roller coaster having a Passionate in your life - you’re never quite sure who is going to show up when you see them.

The Passionate sees themselves as different and special so there will always be an undercurrent of this thinking in any relationship with a Passionate.
They often have problems with negative self-image and low self esteem. Hence the need to constantly reinvent themselves. Passionates are just that - passionate. This means at their best, they’re feisty, wonderful lovers who will make you feel alive and loved. At their worst? Duck for cover. It’s about to get serious here.
Try This
Passionates need to work on their self-esteem issues for as long as they think something is wrong with them, they will never have a harmonious union. This can be an issue as Passionates thrive on their perceived shortcomings and ‘sob story’ and this becomes a huge part of their personality.
A Passionate will have a hard time acknowledging their good qualities because this would strip them of their negative identity crutch that they thrive on.
Passionates do well with reframing everything to the positive. Life, energy, passion and fire works exist in the positive and the negative so shifting their focus to look at everything with a glass half full look will help them to be the best partners they can be.
They could also do with giving way to the concept that a relationship is a partnership - not a show where they’re the star and the partner is the audience.
